A Day in the Life of an HVAC Service Professional

The day begins before sunrise at 6:00 AM. As I pull into the Joplin’s Air Conditioning & Heating parking lot, the morning dew still clings to the service vehicles. First order of business: reviewing the day’s service appointments and checking inventory of essential parts.
First Call of the Day
By 7:30 AM, I’m at our first customer’s home. Today starts with a routine maintenance check on a heating system. These preventive services are crucial – they help catch potential issues before they become major problems during extreme weather.
Mid-Morning Emergency
Around 10:00 AM, dispatch radios in with an urgent call. A family’s AC unit has completely stopped working during a warm spell. This is why we always keep our service vehicles fully stocked with common replacement parts.
Afternoon Schedule
The day continues with:
• Performing seasonal tune-ups
• Installing new air filters
• Checking refrigerant levels
• Cleaning condenser coils
• Inspecting ductwork
